Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Hasset is a 19-year-old chemical engineering student who has always blended academic ambition with social consciousness. Her pageant journey began when she was crowned Miss World Ethiopia 2024, following a competitive national selection held at Hotel Bonanza in Addis Ababa.

At the Miss World 2025 pageant, Hasset stood out from the start. Her “Beauty with a Purpose” project focused on expanding educational access for underprivileged youth, particularly girls in rural areas. With deep conviction and a sharp understanding of systemic inequality, she developed grassroots programs that provided school materials, mentorship, and awareness campaigns on girls’ education.
